They’re showing up more and more, and not just on Samantha’s weird skater dress on Project Runway. (Anyone, anyone?) Whether it’s a shirt or a simple sundress, it’s an adorable way to show some skin this summer!

This is the most common way to do it, on the back of a sundress. I like that this one has sleeves though!

LOVE that it’s trimmed!

I seriously can’t get over how great this outfit is. I want!

It can even work on the front!

Definitely looks like a DIY job, something pretty easy to copy.

So cute in the pleather, makes it edgy AND cute.

I ADORE this huge one in the front! I need that dress like now.

I actually really like that this one is smaller than most.

With spring and summer coming, skin is in: but lately it’s all about covering up in the front and letting loose in the back. Backless shirts are fantastic because they have the sexy element of showing off some skin, but they’re not too racy or showing off anything… malfunction-prone.

Love this low cowl back.

This tied-up skeleton back is super popular because it’s not that hard to do to your own shirts.

Everybody loves a good cage back. (Nice all-seeing eye tat.)
You can also show some back by pairing a crop top with a maxi skirt for a “backless” effect.

This DIY skull style isn’t exactly my favorite, but I get why some girls love it.

A criss-cross back can give a little flavor to an otherwise boring tee. (Try to avoid such a skin belt, though.)

Ah, the all-important scoop back.

Everybody knows they’re in right now, but there are a million different kinds to choose from!

To me this looks like a super cute Western cowboy gone glam.

I love the pearls because it’s so feminine!
I love how the stones are big and bold but only on the tips.

Super delicate and I like how it’s scalloped!

So bad-ass I can’t even handle it.

The only person I know in the entire world who could pull this off is one of my BFFs from high school, Amber.

We’ve all had a mess of our makeup. No exceptions. But whether you have a huge vanity table or a tiny little space in a dorm room, there are ways to keep it organized!

Acrylic organizers are classic and cute, and usually not too expensive unless you need a few sets.

Anytime you have drawers, USE THEM!

And here’s how: get lots of organizers for it. There are ones made specifically for makeup, but if you’re on a budget, go to Staples and find some pencil bins or other desk organizers made for office supplies.

This is a little more involved, but has a huge payoff! No matter how much makeup you have, if you put some on the wall, you’ll save yourself a ton of space. All you need is some fabric, a big frame, a sheet of metal and some magnets!

These drawer organizers are a little more made-for-makeup.

I do these with my brushes! I just use a couple acrylic pencil cups from an office supply store and some coffee beans. My brushes smell amazing!

No matter what, know you can mix all these ideas together to utilize all the space you’ve got!

This color is EVERYWHERE this season. I’m convinced that the only reason it’s such a huge trend is because we’ve totally fetishized the cool word “oxblood” and like saying it over and over. Nevertheless, it’s chic and on trend.

This is probably the easiest way to do it, you may even have a simple shirt in this color already in your closet.

This mani is so chic! I love how it turns black because black is the main undertone in oxblood. That’s what differentiates it from a deep red, wine, or plum.

Ah, Alexa Chung. I love the oxblood leather!

A great jean is adorable too!

This is a great way to include oxblood in any outfit and accessorize!

As cool as some of those graphic designs are that I posted earlier, you can’t exactly show up to a really nice party with a penguin on your nails. So in the spirit of some holiday glam, here are some great ideas!

I love this, you could use any nail polish you want and just use a matte topcoat!

I love this ombre glitter look, I may or may not be rocking it right now…

Festive and fun.

Super glam, I love it!

Looks just like snow! I NEED.

Super cute!

Whether it’s snowflakes or Santa, trees or reindeer, there are some images that make us think immediately of Christmas. So why not put some on your nails? Here are some examples of some that are more art class than glam:

These trees are so cute! And they look relatively easy compared to some other designs.

My mom may love snowmen, but I’m not sure she’d go for these nails!

Reindeer! Of all the reindeer designs I’ve seen, these are the easiest, because your whole nail serves as their head.

Loving those penguins!

How unique, I never would have thought of this!

These santa hats don’t look too difficult.

This Rudolph is so intense! I wonder how long that took.

I seriously love the nordic print. That must have been so freakin’ complicated!

Totally IN LOVE with these gingerbread men!
Can you believe that you can make a turtleneck chic? Turns out you can, and they’re very on trend for fall.

Colorblocking? I think it’s here to stay.

Careful with the black and white stripes though because it can end up looking a little mime-y…

I love this (minus the drawstring). The ruffles make it so feminine!

I’m a sucker for anything cable-knit. Or nordic-print.

How often do you see leggings like this on the street? Where I go to college, never. And you know, I could probably never pull them off. But that doesn’t make any of them less awesome.

Hot air balloons? On your legs? What the hell? Alright, but the right girl could rock it.
These cutouts are super chic.

These are awesome. End of story.

Nordic print! I need a pair of these.

IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO FIND THESE PLEASE INBOX ME.
When I think summer, I think gingham. Gingham table cloths. Gingham shirts. Gingham kitchen towels. Even gingham bikinis. Gingham screams summer, and I found a few adorable ways to incorporate it while you can!

Of course there’s the gingham accent nail, which I posted the tutorial for here.

AHHH THIS DRESS. Currently having a vintage fashgasm.

Awww a little gingham picnic :)

It may not be a bikini, but this swimsuit is rockin’. Vintage chic.

Seriously though, where can I find these folders?!

These earrings are so cute! I saw the picture first and then did a little researching, they’re actually from an Etsy shop. (A lot of the best stuff is.) Here’s the shop, and these earrings are only $7!

The pencil fit of this dress is a little more modern, making it a little more work-appropraite.

I love this look. I would’ve rolled up the sleeves on the gingham shirt underneath, but that’s just me.
